A quick walkthrough of how to look up your inspection.
← Back to WIMILook up your inspection by permit number or by address — switch between the two using the tabs above the search fields. Searching by permit: typing the 2-digit year jumps straight to Permit Number, so you can keep typing without clicking into the next field. Searching by address: include the street number (e.g. "123 NW 5 AV") — a street name on its own isn't enough, since that could match every permit on that road.
Each inspector's stop shows as its own card: their name and trade (Electrical, Plumbing, Building, and so on, when it can be determined), the address, inspection date, and estimated arrival window, followed by every inspection scheduled at that stop — its permit type, inspection type, and status. Before a result is recorded, status shows as Pending; once it is, it's color-coded so you can tell the outcome at a glance: Approved Partially Approved Disapproved Cancelled, and similar. A stop that covers more than one permit number lists each permit's inspections in its own labeled section.
If a job has more than one inspector coming out — or more than one permit at the same address — everything for that address groups together under one header showing the inspection date and a summary of how many inspectors, permits, and inspections are involved, and how many have been approved, need attention, or are still pending. Each inspector's stop appears underneath as its own expandable card; select a card to open or collapse it. Select the refresh icon in the header any time to pull the latest status without starting your search over.
Select View Route on any card to see that inspector's full route for the day, including every permit at that stop if there's more than one.
The map shows every stop on the inspector's route, in order. Blue marks your own stop. A grey stop means it's still pending; a green stop with a check mark means the inspector has already been there and entered a result.
From your inspector's route, select Back to Search any time to return to your results exactly as you left them. From your results, select Start a new Search to search again by permit or address.
WIMI shows scheduling and overall results only — it doesn't show an inspector's notes or comments. To read those, look up your permit on the City's Click2Gov portal ↗.
